Trip Tracking & Your Fishing Diary

River Ranker is your private fishing diary. Every trip, catch, note, and GPS spot is saved on your device and shared with nobody. There are no profiles, no social feed, no way for other users to see your data.

Starting a Trip

Start tracking

Tap "Start Fishing Trip" on any river page to begin tracking your session.

Active status

A status bar appears showing trip duration, fish count, notes, and species icons with a live timer.

Works offline

All trip data is saved locally on your device. You don't need cell service to track your fishing.

Logging Catches

Fast logging

Select species, optionally add length, method (dry fly, nymph, streamer), fly pattern, section, and photos. Designed to take about 15 seconds.

Auto-captured data

Every catch automatically records timestamp, current flow, water temperature, and weather conditions.

Photos

Attach photos to build a visual record of your best fish and memorable moments.

Recent patterns

Your last 3 fly patterns are saved for quick selection on your next catch.

Quick Notes

Record observations about hatches, water conditions, or techniques. Notes are timestamped with current river conditions and can include multiple photos.

Fishing Spots

Mark your spots

Save locations of productive pools, riffles, and runs with descriptions and photos.

Private

Your spots are saved locally on your device. They are not shared with anyone.

Map view

All your saved spots appear on the river's map. Tap any spot to see details and photos.
